Joy and the Lord‘s Supper (Audio only)
Monday Nov 15, 2021
Monday Nov 15, 2021
When you think of the Lord's Supper, do you think of celebration and joy, or maybe of a more somber, penitent, self-examination? In this episode, Pastor Zac makes the case that the emphasis of the Lord's Supper ought to be one of a joyful celebration. Pastor Brandon interviews Pastor Zac on a range of issues, including covenant meals, the role of self-examination, and more.

In this episode, Pastors Brandon and Zac discuss one of the most controversial chapters in all of the Bible, namely, Revelation chapter 20. Is the "1,000 year reign of Christ" a future event? Or is the Millennium (1,000 yrs) right now? Also, what does it mean for Satan to be "bound"? Again, is this future or right now? These questions and others are unpacked in this episode.

The Problem of Evil
Tuesday Nov 02, 2021
Tuesday Nov 02, 2021
Philosopher David Hume pressed the question, "Is he [God] willing to prevent evil, but not able? then he is impotent. Is he able, but not willing? then is he malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Whence then is evil?" In this episode, Pastors Brandon and Zac open Scripture to discuss why evil exists and how God remains both "the overflowing source of all good" (Belgic Confession, Article 1) and so sovereign that "all things, in fact, come to us not by chance but by his fatherly hand" (Heidelberg Catechism, Q.27). The episode concludes with practical and pastoral advice on how to respond to suffering and persecution.
